Welcome to the SEAT Bus Study

Project News

new-01Thank you to everyone who participated at our recent outreach events! We received lots of feedback, including many written comments and votes about the proposed improvement plans. We are currently working to incorporate feedback and develop a recommended SEAT Improvement Plan. Visit the SEAT Improvement Plans page to see the proposed service improvement options and share your feedback, and be sure to stay tuned for updates.

The SEAT Improvement Plans are based on our technical analysis and feedback received during the public meetings and outreach events held in February 2015. You can view the three initial scenarios that were presented in February by visiting the Preliminary Scenarios page.

We completed our technical review of SEAT service in February 2015. You can read our evaluation of every SEAT run on the Service Evaluations page. Each review includes ideas to improve service. Take a look and add your thoughts to the community message board!

We conducted Stakeholder Interviews to hear a range of different perspectives on SEAT transit services. Please check our Downloads page to read the summary of the findings from our interviews.

On December 11, 2014, we completed a SEAT Market Analysis, an important study document. The Market Analysis is a study of the need for transit service throughout southeastern Connecticut, and how well SEAT serves that need. You can read the document at the Downloads page.

We began collecting feedback with a SEAT Community Survey, starting December 1, 2014. The community survey was just one of many ways to tell us what characteristics you value in transit service. We collected nearly 300 responses from the community!
